These terms cover the Yuki app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, the free Mac Helper, and this website. By downloading or using them, you agree to what's on this page.
Yuki is free to use — no account, no subscription. There's exactly one optional purchase, it goes through Apple, and nothing you make with your tools is ever ours to claim.
Your agreement is with the maker of Yuki, not with Apple. Where Apple's standard Licensed Application EULA overlaps with these terms, Apple's EULA takes precedence.
Yuki is a companion app that mirrors what your coding agent is doing — working, waiting for you, or idle. The Mac Helper is the free, open-source piece that reads your agent's activity locally on your Mac; the apps on your other devices just mirror her.
Yuki is licensed to you, not sold. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's usage rules. Please don't resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app. The Mac Helper is open source and comes under the license in its repository — that license governs the code itself.
Yuki has a single optional in-app purchase: Daily Coffee, a one-time unlock that lets you serve her a coffee once a day. It's a small ritual and a way to support development — nothing essential sits behind it, and it is not a subscription. The unlock is tied to your Apple ID and can be brought to your other devices with Restore Purchases.
The purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple is the merchant of record and handles billing, applicable taxes, and receipts.
Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and eligibility is determined by Apple's App Store policies. If you run into trouble with a refund or anything about the purchase, email hello@meetyuki.app and I'll do my best to help.
We run no server and collect nothing, so there is nothing here for these terms to claim: your code, prompts, and files stay yours and stay on your machines. The only thing Yuki moves between your devices is your agent's coarse status, over your own network or your own iCloud. The full story — and how to verify it — is on the Privacy page.
Don't circumvent purchase validation, redistribute the app, or use Yuki or the Helper to break the law. The Helper reads agent activity on your own Mac — run it only on machines and accounts you're entitled to use.
Yuki is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. She's an ambient companion, not an instrument panel: the status she shows can lag or occasionally be wrong. Don't rely on her as the sole signal for anything critical — the terminal your agent runs in is always the source of truth.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yuki and its author are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid.
Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and request a refund through the App Store; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
These terms may be updated as the product evolves; the date below reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
